Why it’s free
Guessing how many boxes to buy usually ends one of two ways: you buy too many and end up flattening a stack of leftover cardboard, or you run out halfway through packing the kitchen. Movegarde exists to turn that guess into a quick estimate instead. The calculator and every other tool on the site are free to use, with no account, sign-up, or payment required. The site is supported by advertising, which is what lets us keep the tools free and available to anyone planning a move.
Independence
Movegarde is an independent tool and is not affiliated with any moving company, box retailer, or storage provider. The estimates it produces are meant for general planning purposes; your actual box and supply needs will vary depending on how you pack, what you own, and other details specific to your move.
